Over the past months James´ family has received a substantial number of donations. Unless requested differently all donations have been divided between the Samantha Dickson Research Trust Fund and the Great Ormond Street Children Hospital. Both organisations have been vital in James´ treatment.

Whilst the Great Ormond Street Children Hospital is among other things responsible for the treatment and care of patients with terminal diseases, the Samantha Dickson Research Trust Fund sponsors projects which are trying to find actual cures for brain tumours.
Whilst being treated at the Great Ormond Street Children Hospital James encountered a recurrent problem. Due to his tall size he was always too large for the hospital beds, which were designed for smaller children. Consequently, James´ feet always hung over the end of the bed.

To remember James´ name in some way through the donations that have been made to the Hospital James´ family decided to buy a full size bed so as to make larger teenagers more comfortable when staying for treatment. A little badge on the bed will commemorate James.
James´ family would like to thank the following people who donated in memory of James to the Great Ormond Street Children Hospital:

During his illness James participated in a research project by Professor Geoff Pilkington at Kings College in London. Professor Pilkington is trailing an anti-depressant drug called Chlorimipramine, which is intended to contain the growth of brain tumours. His project is funded by the Samantha Dickson Research Trust Fund.
